MY BIO
«A Pianist Who Makes You Think and Dream»
«Un pianista che fa pensare e sognare»
(L. Ciammarughi, 2023)
With these words, Nicolas Giacomelli, Italian pianist and composer born in 1998, has been described. Praised for his “audacity and perfect mastery of the form” (Pianiste, S.Friédérich), through his interpretations he reveals “exceptional intellectual and emotional qualities, along with complete mastery of the keyboard […], all with a certain underlying sobriety” (L.Ciammarughi).
Nicolas Giacomelli is the recent first prize winner of the 4th Shigeru Kawai International Piano Competition in Tokyo, marking the beginning of an artistic collaboration with KAWAI. Over his career, he has received awards in over 40 competitions, including the Concours International Piano Campus (France), Premio Venezia, NTD Competition (USA), and the Friuli Venezia Giulia International Piano Competition (Italy).
